In this Video, Pete Oudolf, garden designer of the famous Highline in New York City, gives us a tour through his own garden in Hummelo, Netherlands. He explains, that for him plants are tools to express himself. For the past 35 years, he and his wife Anja have been taking care of the private garden, that is open for visitors during summertime. Over the years, Oudolf included wild plants to the more common garden vegetation. Oudolf points out, that even though it appears to be wild and free, this garden has a complex design, that looks different every day. He enjoys every aspect of it and finds beauty even in the dry grasses and withered flowers. The video is a rare insight to the private realm of one of the most important garden designers of our time.
